[ The last of the holiday season are here, and the festivities are finally under way. All down Lander an absurd amount of punch, food, alcohol, and warm winter wear are at your disposal. Various kinds of music play from places undetermined, songs from the festive to the bizarre, its your pick. It's only your fellow captivees here, so might as well enjoy the free shit and partying right?

[ Guess who's really enjoying the grappling hook he got for Christmas? This guy. Jack pops into the celebration by swinging off a tree and almost knocking over some of the food. Don't worry, he'll shout out an apology before going to munch on some of the food.

This is a bit different from last year. So he'll probably walk up to you and say something like- ] So, what do you think the Scientists are gonna do to us now?

[Staring as he swings in. Seriously, this isn't the jungle... Or one of America's action movies.]

Uh... [Sorry, what was your question again?]

Oh- ha, you like the grappling hook? Somebody got it for me on Christmas! [ he's PRETTY THRILLED about it ]

S-somebody, huh? [Well, it's too hard for her to say anything mean, he looks so excited.] Santa Claus, maybe?

Haha, maybe. I've got my own suspicions, though... [ he looks about, seeing if Ange is around to point towards ]

Ohh... [She catches him looking around for someone, but doesn't say anything, just smiling.] I see.

Have you been practicing a lot with it since you got it?

Yeah, sure have! I mean, we're stuck outside now, so it's not like there's much else to do.

In the middle of the winter too! Honestly...

You think they're doing something to the buildings? For the New Year, or whatever.

[meilihua]

Oh! You think so? [She might almost be persuaded to forgive them in that case...] Do you decorate for New Year's at home?

Haha, I'm usually still at school then- my dad works there so it's no big deal. They've got lights up sometimes, but just for all the holidays.

What? Don't you get a winter break around that time?

Yeah, most of the kids go home! But a lot of us with parents who work there just stay.

[entreats]

[ Good to see you like your new life as an action hero, Jack.. Ange's just casually standing there, keeping on eye on Bern-chan even now, but just glances at Jack for a moment when he approaches her and speaks up. ]

Who knows. Any guess would be just as good as any other. Let's not hope it's something as ridiculous as turning us into donkeys.

Hey, that doesn't sound very New Years-themed. [ he laughs a little ] It's got to be something with the Ball Drop, right? Maybe something will come out of it when it falls...

[entreats]

Or maybe it will start rolling around and we'll have to run away from it. Indiana Jones-style. [ RUDOLF WAS INTO ACTION MOVIES OKAY that's where she got it from.. her dad made her watch it when she was little.. ]

Haha, you think they'll just wreck their city on purpose like that? I guess they could've thrown this together like they're trying to be nice to us and it'll mess up, but still.

[entreats]

Maybe they're tired of the way things are right now. You know, wanting to start out new for the new year and all by wrecking something and making us go somewhere else, maybe something like that.

.. I can't say I wouldn't appreciate a change of scenery, finally.

Last time we had to leave it was kind of cos a nuclear bomb went off, though. I don't think they'd do anything like that right in front of us, would they?

[entreats]

Honestly, I wouldn't put anything past these scientists by now. [ a less good idea, but-- ] Maybe they just want to get rid of us and start with entirely new people.

[dewebbed]

Jeez, after all this? I don't think they've got that kind of guts. [ he sounds little wary, though. this place has done way too much to him to have him stay that optimistic ]

Don't say it too loudly. They might see it as a challenge.

Ha...yeah, you're right. [ he pauses ] Oh, so what'd you get for Christmas? Haha, did Bern get anything?

[entreats]

She did, actually. I got some clothes for winter, so I guess that's useful, but.. there was a cat toy for her too. She's been playing with it non-stop. [ a shrug. ] At least it got her off my hands for a while.
