[ The last of the holiday season are here, and the festivities are finally under way. All down Lander an absurd amount of punch, food, alcohol, and warm winter wear are at your disposal. Various kinds of music play from places undetermined, songs from the festive to the bizarre, its your pick. It's only your fellow captivees here, so might as well enjoy the free shit and partying right?

[He smiles a little.] I've already begun the preparations for Chinese New Year.

[But in the back of his mind, he wondered if they would still be here in February. He had mixed feelings knowing that there was now a possibility for everyone to be sent back home. Of course, none of those thoughts make it past his lips nor do they show on his cheerful face.]

Haven't you been planning for months already? [ He's been planning for months already. New Years is like. The most important thing. Okay, not the most, but close. ]

Of course I have! I would not be a good host if I did not plan things carefully. I've even began looking around for ingredients that are necessary to make the food!

[He will have a nian gao this year, he tells himself!]

Yeah, are you having luck with that? [ Since it can be kind of barebones around here. ]

[Oh, he knows and it annoys him.]

Well, I know I will be able to make a nian gao this year for sure. It will not be as big as the ones I've made in the past, but there should be enough for everyone to have one serving at least.

Then of course I was able to find some rice and vegetables, including some Chinese radishes I found growing in the greenhouse, which means I will also be able to make some 蘿蔔糕.
