If the note was written by anyone but Namine, his sorta-daughter, he might have already lost it by now.
If I were a serious roleplayer, this exploration would further unravel his frayed mind in a dramatic angsty explosion.
Instead it is going to further unravel his frayed mind in a dramatic explosion of paranoia, stupidity, and levels of crazy that Bruce Campbell would nod in approval at. ]
FUCKING FOG I WILL DEFEAT YOU.
[ As such, he is basically running around Lachesistein with his chainsaw hand running, shotgun at the ready, and occasionally yelling out Nameine's name.
This guy would do so well in Silent Hill. ]

INTO THE FRAY.
[ After a minute of senseless flailing the chainsaw putters quiet and he doubles over to catch his breath. ]
Have I mentioned... that I don't like the fog here...?
no subject
It's... well, it's really creepy. I can understand that.
no subject
It's more than just creepy, it's diabolical. The fog 'round here has always meant bad things. Like when it's combined with spooky stuff like an empty town or writings on the wall--or in this case both--it always means trouble afoot. But it ain't gonna get to me this time, no siree. I'm coming to this fight ready to rumble!
[ His grin is either one of confidence or utter madness. Probably both. ]

Even though America is shit at reading the atmosphere, he can still recognize the worry in her voice. He puts on his most reassuring smile and pats her on the shoulder with his one good hand. ]
Ain't nothing I can't handle though. Like I said, I'm ready! You've got nothing to worry about as long as I'm here. Plus I've got Captain freaking America to back me up if things get bad. Whatever's lurking in the shadows better fear the American Avengers.
[ Yes he is slowly trying to become a self-insert into the Avengers what of it. ]

...and almost a little vindicated that her guess at his reaction had been more or less spot on.
But back to the matter at hand]
H-how are you supposed to fight fog? You can't...hit it or cut it or anything like that...
no subject
The fog itself is just water. It's what's in the fog that I gotta fight, ya dig? If it can't be taken down with a gun or a chainsaw, well, then it's time to use my brain! Taking psychological warfare to literal levels, man. That's the plan! Sounds confusing, I know, but you're gonna have to trust me on this.

...Er, could you please keep it down?

What's the point?

[ He grins and winks, so obviously that means he's joking. (Maybe. Only sorta joking.) ]
I'm just letting it out there that this time, whatever's lurking in the fog ain't gonna get the upper hand. I'm prepared to take it on.

The more attention they've got on me, the less they've got on the people they've got, and if they wanna come out and see me? All the better.

America! [He's pretty worried about him.]
no subject
Gosh he misses her. Finding sketchpads and colored pencils and cutsey things that could only belong to her only spur him on. ]
WHAT?
[ It is perfectly rational to shout an answer when you're literally standing like three feet away from someone. ]
no subject
Try to calm down.

What are you kids doing here?
[ Across the 4th wall, Hermione replies: we fucking go to school here. Terezi is having none of that shit, though. Instead, she's greeting Steve with a casual nose to the armpit. A greeting that also confirms one of Terezi's suspicions. A suspicion she had been nurturing for a while now and had also been the reason she was currently stalking America. ]
His freedom smells better than yours, America.
no subject
Several things immediately become apparent in America's mind as Terezi sidles up to his idol:
America decides to rectify this last point by pretty much shoving his face into Steve's shirt. ]
What?! No way!
[ SNIFFFFFFFFFF. ]
Our freedoms smell just as good, you dunno what you're talking about. They're just different variations, dig? Like his is all crisp and pure, like Rocky Mountain air. Kinda ironic since he's from the Brooklyn, I know, but it's got this winter-y scent to it-- uh. For. Reasons.
[ He knows everything about your life Steve. ]
But mine's got that tinge of soil and dirt and horse and gunpowder and fire and that's the smell of growth. See?
[ And then he rolls up a sleeve to give Terezi his bare arm to sniff. ]
no subject
Although, he's not sure if he'll ever get used to being sniffed at. And now America is doing it. What is his life.]
Guys? We should continue searching this place... [Maybe a change of topic will help. He is a very naive person.]
no subject
Nope. Sorry, brodog. I smell a lot of strange plants, lots of dirty laundry, and a bit of apple pie. While pretty good, I'll admit, it's no where near as good as our logical friend here. [ She nods at Steve before shoving her nose back into his armpit. When she speaks, it's muffled. But it's loud enough to cut off any protests America might have. ]
Besides, he's also the one who has really good ideas. I mean, did you hear that? We should continue searching this place. Yeah, we should. That's definitely a thing we should be doing right now. [ She pulls back and gives Steve a wink. ]
Lead the way, Freedom boy. I'll watch your back. [ and your booty. ]
no subject
Oh yeah, tons of good ideas. Just wait 'til you see the ideas he's gonna have but hasn't had 'em yet. They're awesome. Trust me, I know them all pretty much by heart.
And since you can't really watch anything, I'll just have to cover both ya'll!
[ BLAM you all just got a taste of the Bitch Pudding. ]
