Where: Starting at their apartments and then maybe various places?
When: Backdated to the beginning of the Body Swap event
Rating: PG-PG-13 at the most.
Summary: Bodies have been swapped. Cats are confused. Hilarity occurs.
The Log:

[ Jack has had a pretty interesting morning. First, he woke up with something on top of him. That was Bern the cat, which he actually didn't think was too bizarre, considering Bern had a habit of appearing in weird places. The first thing he thought was actually "man, Bern is really heavy."

But then he realized his hair was way longer. And that he wasn't in his apartment. So then things got really weird.

So now he's at Ange's apartment- technically his apartment, but maybe it's hers now?- knocking on the door. Bern's at his heels, sniffing him. ] Ange...? Ange, it's me, Jack! Uh...sort of. [ awkward ]

[ she sighs. ]

I guess in the end it just comes down to both of us making sure the bodies we are in right now will be okay. Hopefully they won't throw anything else weird at us during this, like those dinosaurs from a long time ago.

Dinosaurs? Okay, either I missed that or it was from even before I got here. And that was awhile ago now!

It happened practically right after I arrived. Some guy on a motorcycle entered the city and he was chased by dinosaurs or whatever. .. Honestly, that was the first thing that made me realise just how screwed up and weird this place is.

Oh man, now I wish I'd got here sooner, haha! [ a pause ] Okay, maybe not, but seeing a guy get chased by dinosaurs sounds pretty hilarious.

[nospidershere]

[ .. she shakes her (or, well, his) head slightly. ]

You have an interesting sense of humor, Jack.

Hey, you do too. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to talk about Bern this much without getting tired!

[ speaking of which, Bern has climbed up on the couch and is trying to jump up to the top of it now... ]

[ bern is learning bad things from its owner, huh.. but apparently it's a normal thing to ange, since she seems to ignore it even though she's noticed. ]

That's different. She's more or less a running joke by now. .. One of the few constant things in this place, either way.

Man, I actually can't imagine this place without Bern. I bet she'll haunt this place forever, haha.

[ Jack-in-Ange's-body goes and grabs Bern, holding her up in front of him- Bern doesn't seem to happy about that though ]

You need to grab her a little higher, she gets annoyed when you grab her that low. [ speaking from experience, despite how casual it is.. ]

But.. yeah. She first belonged to that girl.. I wonder if she got the cat from someone else to begin with too.

[ he shifts Bern in his hands a little. she still looks pretty pissed though jeez ] Which girl?

Rika Furude. She looked like Bern-chan's namesake.

[hasafamily]

Rika...oh man, I think I remember her! I used to think she might've had some power to bring us all back home, or something like that.

[nospidershere]

A lot of us got teleported to that weird different version of Discedo when she got her chip out, so.. who knows, maybe she did.

[ ... ] If she looked like that witch, the possibility is even bigger.

[hasafamily]

I remember that- I mean hearing about it, I got left behind. But that's why I thought so. What do you mean by that witch, though?

[nospidershere]

Bernkastel. The witch that Bern-chan is named after, the witch Rika Furude exactly looked like.. she used to bother me all the time back home.

[hasafamily]

[ he vauguely remembers Ange bringing up witches in her world, so he's not too weirded out by it...and they basically had magic back in his world, so ] Ha, if she bugged you, then Bern got a pretty appropriate name!

[ this is probably a bad moment to say 'she made me into burgers', huh. ]

Believe me, she was even worse than Bern-chan. Compared to her, having just the cat to deal with here is a blessing.

[ HAHA OH NO ] Oh yeah, I'm sure. I'd probably die of torture if Bern could talk, after all.

.. You'd be surprised. [ it's half-mumbled though so GOOD LUCK CATCHING THAT, JACK. Especially since she's quickly moving on. ]

We should have some sort of celebration that we only have to put up with the cat variation.

[hasafamily]

What, does Bern even have a birthday? Ha, we could've thrown a bernday party. [ beat ] Okay, that was lame.

[nospidershere]

[ ...

okay, no, that's almost an amused smile on her face-- or well, your face, Jack. you sort of win right now. ]

That one was really lame. [ then why are you amused, ange.. ]

[hasafamily]

Yeah, yeah, I know. [ he laughs a bit ]

See, look at Bern, she doesn't like it either. [ he finally sets her down on the couch next to him, and in response she just...sits up and stares at him ]

She never likes any jokes though. [ you mean just like you, ange? ] Or.. anything that doesn't involve annoying other people.

[hasafamily]

Yeah, that seems to be her- [ and then he stops because bern just swatted him in the face ] Whoa, whoa, okay! I guess it was that bad!

[nospidershere]

... Be careful she doesn't beat you up like this. That's my body, after all, and if we happen to swap back soon I'd like to get it back in one piece.

[ not as burgers, okay. ]
