Summary: Bodies have been swapped. Cats are confused. Hilarity occurs.
The Log:

[ Jack has had a pretty interesting morning. First, he woke up with something on top of him. That was Bern the cat, which he actually didn't think was too bizarre, considering Bern had a habit of appearing in weird places. The first thing he thought was actually "man, Bern is really heavy."

But then he realized his hair was way longer. And that he wasn't in his apartment. So then things got really weird.

So now he's at Ange's apartment- technically his apartment, but maybe it's hers now?- knocking on the door. Bern's at his heels, sniffing him. ] Ange...? Ange, it's me, Jack! Uh...sort of. [ awkward ]

he rubs the back of his head awkwardly ] So...I guess our brains are swapped, or something?

Either that or all of this is some really bad dream. [ She'd seriously have to question what she ate to cause this kind of weirdness.. ] But I'm betting on it being the scientists screwing up once again or something like that. It seems like something they'd do.

[ .. ugh, wait.. ] .. It's so weird to hear your voice when I say something, just for the record.

.. It's still yours, right? I mean.. even if I'm in your body, it's still your body! I'm not going to suddenly call myself Jack. That would just be creepy.

Well yeah, you're still Ange, but...[ he pauses ] Jeez, okay, this is hurting my brain. Can I come in?

[nospidershere]

It'd be sort of weird if I refused to let you into what is technically your place to begin with. So.. yeah, come in.

[ moving aside so he.. she... well, you know, can walk in but that's when ange manages to spot the cat as well. ]

.. Huh, you took Bern-chan too?

Nah, she followed me here. Maybe she's as confused as we are.

[ he walks in, the cat behind him Bern's just gonna rub against Ange-in-Jack's-body's leg like cats will do ]

I can imagine. Does she even still know who her owner is?

[ at least she's getting affection for now though, so.. she kneels down, petting the cat a little. ]

I dunno, I'm pretty sure she thinks she owns everyone around here. Haha. [ ange's body is laughing, what is going on ]

[ and then discedo collapsed since this isn't possible. ]

.. Do I really sound that weird when I laugh? [ ah, now she's realising why she never does it. ]

I don't think I've heard you laugh that much! I didn't really think much about it.

Then make sure you don't laugh too much while we're stuck like this, you might use up all of my yearly supply of it. [ as least she can still joke about the situation, somewhat.. ]

Hey, you've lost the cap now that you're in my body. You should take advantage of it and find some stuff to laugh at!

[nospidershere]

... [ she genuinely seems to think about this, actually.. ] Like what? I doubt there's anything particularly funny around right now.

Well, I'm sure we can find something. Like put Bern in silly hats or whatever.

Now we're going in the right direction.

[ still deadpan, though -- don't mind her just flopping down on the furniture, jack. ]

What kind of hats did you have in mind? Party hats?

Party cats would be good! And then some really crazy ones. Like rainbow ones with feathers on them or something.

The only problem would be finding something like that in a desolate place like this, right?

Maybe there's some at one of the shops. People wouldn't take a hat they wouldn't have any use for around here, right...?

[nospidershere]

You'd be surprised at what kind of hobbies some people in this place might have, you know.

[ discedo is actually partycedo.. ]

Yeah, that's true. We've got some pretty weird people here.

[ he flops down on the couch ] I guess we're lucky we got our bodies switch with people who are actually pretty sane, right?

[ she's almost tempted to make a 'speak for yourself' deadpan joke, but.. no, in a situation like this it almost feels too mean. ]

We could've been swapped around with Bern-chan or something.

Oh, jeez, don't even let me think about that. Being an animal would be bad enough, but Bern? Eeeeugh.

[nospidershere]

[ bern talk will never fail to be amusing to ange - no matter that she doesn't show it too much. ]

Maybe they'll decide to switch everyone around to a different person tomorrow. I'd be on my guard if I were you. [ ... ] Which, technically, I am right now, I guess.

So we've got to keep guard for each other, too? This is getting way too complicated.
